Is Newwit a betting app?

No, Newwit is not a betting app. Newwit is just a prediction game. You will not lose any real money on Newwit. You cannot win real money when you get a prediction correct. There is also no odds per poll option. We encourage users to predict what they believe will happen rather than calculating probability and odds.

What does the coin number of questions mean?

Each prediction question has a coin worth. You get the coins when you predict correctly. It is a changing number depending on the distribution of votes in each option. While the coin number is changing, your winnings will be locked at the time you make the prediction, irrespective of how the number changes later.

Can I change my vote?

Yes, by default you have 2 times to change your vote. However, entry fee is deducted from your balance each time you cast a new vote.

How is the coin number of the question determined?

The coin number is determined by newwit moderator and updated automatically according to the distributions of predictions. Usually, the more evenly distributed predictions the higher the coin number as it indicates people are not sure which option will happen.

What is the difference between an opinion poll and prediction poll?

Opinion polls are questions that are created by newwit moderators or other normal newwit users. They are just used for collection of opinions without an officially verifiable outcome, thus it does not have coin reward and does not count towards the leaderboard. Prediction polls are created by newwit moderators only. Their results are officially verified by newwit and the coin rewards will be counted towards the leaderboard.

Can I create a prediction question?

While you cannot publish prediction questions that will reward others coins, you can suggest prediction questions to our moderators using the add button. If we use your suggestion, we will mark the questions to be inspired by you on the question details.

What are the tasks and achievements?

Tasks are actions that you take to help newwit become a better platform. This includes participation in questions, suggest questions, inviting new users etc. Similarly, achievements are a collection of tasks. Completing tasks and achievements will earn you experience points that are used to level up your profile.

What does “following” a user do?

When you follow a user, you will be able to see their posts and other public engagements they have on newwit. You can also invite him/her to your newwit group.

What is a Newwit Group?

Newwit Group allows you to create social discussion with your friends and your following users. You can create your own questions in the group and have private polling and discussions. Group has its own ranking table, your performance in group prediction questions are not counted towards the Leaderboard.

Is there a limit on Group member size?

Yes, each newwit group can have 150 members maximum.

How does the leaderboard work?

Each topic has its leaderboard. Leaderboard is ranked by the number of coins you earn from answering prediction polls. Overall leaderboard counts your lifetime coin earnings while the monthly leaderboard counts your coin earnings this month and is reset every month.

What do the statistics mean on the leaderboard?

-ACC: accuracy, the percentage of questions you predicted correctly
-W: win number, the number of questions you predicted correctly
-L: loss number, the number of questions you predicted incorrectly
